Boman Irani


Boman Irani was born on 1962. He hails from the Gujarati speaking Parsi community of Mumbai, Maharashtra.

He started his career as a photographer; he was also involved in selling potato chips. He expanded his passion with a cameo in Alyque Padamsee's play Roshni and a double role opposite Pearl Padamsee in Raell Padamsee's play "Family ties" in 1996.

He then went on to do TV commercials for numerous products, such as Fanta, CEAT tyres, Smyle cough syrup and Parle Krackjack biscuits.

He did his Bollywood film debut in Josh. The film Munna Bhai gave many actors to show their real talent and Boman too had given his best and came to fame as the eccentric Dr. J.C Ashtana. For the sequel of the same film, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, he played a different character called Lucky Singh.
