By noon as expected RBI announced a status quo on its repo and reverse repo rates. Markets only little changed after the announcement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Top gainers in the nifty stocks are Tata Steel (3.8%), Infosys (2.9%), GAIL India (2.6%), UPL (2.5%), Bajaj Finance (2.5%), Vedanta (2.4%), Zee Entertainment Enterprises (2.4%), HCL Technologies (2.2%), Tata Consultancy Services (2.2%) etc and top losers are Eicher Motors (-1.3%) and Shree Cement (-1.2%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stocks like Tech Mahindra (54.2%), Tata Steel (50.5%), Zee Entertainment Enterprises (49.1%), Cipla (43.3%), Hindalco Industries (41.2%), Oil &amp; Natural Gas Corporation (32.1%), GAIL India (29.3%) surged in volume today compared to their respective 2 months volume average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vedanta (4.2%), Tata Steel (3.9%), ICICI Bank (3.1%), JSW Steel (3.1%), Infosys (3.1%), UPL (3.0%), Titan Company (2.9%), Bajaj Finance (2.8%), GAIL India (2.5%), HCL Technologies (2.5%) etc recovered more than 2% during intra day trade and stocks like Bharat Petroleum Corporation (-3.3%), Bharti Infratel (-2.7%), Bajaj Auto (-2.5%), Oil &amp; Natural Gas Corporation (-2.4%) dropped more than 2% from their respective intra day high.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On RBI policy announcement day after volatility markets are managed to close in green with both nifty and sensex gained around 1%.
