Both Indian indices are trading with good gains around 1% in the morning trade today with a stellar 13% gain in Wipro after its quarterly results announcements. Stocks like Tech Mahindra, Axis Bank, Infosys, Tata Steel and Bajaj Finance also up more than 2.5%. Only Airtel, IOC and Shree Cements are down more than .5%
But in the buy and sell bids only very few stocks are attracting buyers like Wipro, power grid, Bajaj finsrv etc but most of the stocks are in the selling more with some stocks with more than 40% extra sellers like Kotak Bank, Tata Motors, HDFC etc. This means undercurrent is still not very positive.
In the volume front also not much volume gainers but Wipro witnessed 224% extra volume in the first few minutes of trade itself.
Wipro Results : Consolidated net profit for the June quarter was flat at ₹2,390 crore as against ₹2,388 crore in the year-ago period and consolidated revenue ₹14,913 crore as compared to RS 14,716 crore in June 2019.
