Even thought indices lost its morning steam by end of the day managed to close in green with around .4% gains. Cipla (9.5%), Mahindra & Mahindra (4.9%), Larsen & Toubro (4.8%), Tata Motors (3.6%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (3.5%), NTPC (3.4%), Tech Mahindra (3.3%), UPL (2.8%), Vedanta (2.7%), Dr. Reddys Laboratories (2.6%) and JSW Steel (2.4%) closed with good gains of more than 2%. Eicher Motors (-2.2%), Asian Paints (-1.2%), Maruti Suzuki India (-1.2%), Reliance Industries (-1.2%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (-1.2%), Bajaj Finserv (-1.0%) etc closed in red with more than 1% loss.
Cipla (616.2%) was the super performer today after a good Q1 quarterly performance with volume zoomed more than 6 times compared to average 2 months volume. Larsen & Toubro (131.4%), Shree Cement (97.6%), Mahindra & Mahindra (66.2%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (58.0%), Dr. Reddys Laboratories (52.3%), Titan Company (43.7%), UPL (32.4%) etc also witnessed good volume today.
