This is weekly gainers and losers chart for Indian stock market index Nifty 50 for the week ending 10th July 2020. Overall it was a mixed week for the Indian and world stock markets. In nifty 50 stocks Indusind bank, Hindalco, Bajaj Finance, Sbi, Bajaj finsrv and Hindustan unilever closed the week with more than 3% gains. Infratel, Adani ports, Ongc, Ntpc, Grasim, Titan and Upl closed with more than 4% loss during the week.
Even though markets across the world are ignoring negative news and consolidating at the current levels and holding on to the last 2 months gains, still lots of uncertainties persists locally and globally as corona virus cases are skyrocketing everywhere. Markets ignoring such news is really alarming but may be due to the availability of the money at very low interest rates globally. But earning season is about to start and is expected to be a worst earning season in the recent times. So brace for a volatility period ahead.
