As I said in the morning post both Nifty and Sensex lost their steam by afternoon and closed in red with loosing almost .9%. Stocks like Zeel, Bajaj Finance, Tata Motors and Hcl Technologies dropped more than 3% while Indusind bank closed with 4.5% gains which actually held the market today with vedanta, jsw steel and hindalco with 2%+ gains else the fall would have been more steep.

INDUSINDBK (152.7%) was the major volume gainer in the index followed by SBIN (93.8%), JSWSTEEL (82.8%) and NTPC (58.9%) with more than 50% extra volume than usual. Other major volume gainers are TATASTEEL (45.5%), BAJFINANCE (45.4%), DRREDDY (34.1%), BAJAJ-AUTO (28.8%), NESTLEIND (23.1%) etc
